AT LAST SOME GOOD NEWS, we will be back to Face-
As before we will be following all the Welsh Government guidelines, as well as the Dance UK and BBOdance guidance. Once again, we have had to adapt how things will run before, during and after lessons in the hall. We have also had to have a COVID biased Risk Assessment undertaken as well as having discussions with both Torfaen CBC and the church (who own the hall). All this has resulted in the following new rules regarding lessons.
- For the foreseeable future, due to the limits set by Social Distancing, parents and
Guardians will not be allowed into the hall when dropping off or picking up students.
Please escort them to the front (or main) door of the hall when arriving, and collect
them from the rear (or side) door, to allow a one-
way system to work in this confined space. Please park sensibly and keep your distance form each other. If for some reason you are going to be late dropping off or collecting your daughter, please contact me by TEXT message (07812 891855), and not by any other form of messaging due to the lack of wifi and poor phone signal inside that hall. - Be on time! Since everyone entering the hall will need to have their temperature checked, this will obviously take a little time.
- Come ready to dance. This means with your dance uniform on under your outdoor clothing, and dance shoes ready (but not on). When you have removed your outdoor clothing and shoes, please put them into a separate bag to your dance bag, and place it under your seat. Those of you coming straight from school or another activity, must change in the toilets (one person at a time).
- Please ensure that you wear a clean uniform for each day, and that your dirty uniform is washed before you wear again.
- Please make sure all students come with a suitable drinks bottle, and enough to drink to last their lessons that day. Also please refrain form sharing snacks and sweets amongst each other. Unfortunately the snack shop will also be unavailable.
- We are not allowed to have any cuddly toys or props in use during lessons (or exams for that matter), so I’m afraid all the cuddlies will have to wait to come back dancing a little longer.
- Hand Sanitiser will be available on entry to and exit from the hall. If you are able to provide your own, please do so.
- Just to reassure all parents, if your child needs help changing their shoes, those doing so will be wearing Face Shields and will sanitise their hands between each pair of shoes.
- Due to the requirements of Contact Tracing, I need to remind everyone to ensure I have the correct contact numbers for all students and their parents/guardians. Should any of these numbers change, please let me know via TEXT message , and if you are not sure I have the correct current numbers for you please send them to me (via the number above).
- Please impress on your child that Social Distancing rules do still apply within lessons, to keep everyone safe, and the school open.
